How do you play other people online with Mario&Sonic Olympic Games?

Hey idk how to play people online but i do have an internet connection|||You don't. Any instance of this you've seen has simply been an elaborate LSD hallucination.|||I'm pretty sure you can't... I believe the wi-fi is only used for leaderboards.
